ABOUT NOKISHITA TOSHOKAN B&B
Reflection and Renewal
Nokishita Toshokan B&B is a sanctuary for reflection and renewal — a home under the eaves where inner journeys begin. Each room carries a living theme of the house: gratitude, presence, and connection. Together, the three guest rooms form a gentle pathway rather than simply a place to stay. The original library created by my grandmother now serves as a shared lounge — a welcoming space where guests can exchange stories, find the courage to release old narratives, and feel inspired to begin writing new ones. Our meals are a nourishing blend of Japanese and Western home cooking, healthy and heart-warming, feeding both body and spirit.

Our Services

It is a living place of learning, retreat, and relationship — a home that supports both rest and meaningful transformation.
Rooted in rural Japan and shaped by years of teaching, hosting, and community building, we offer a range of experiences designed to meet guests where they are, whether they come to rest, explore, study, or realign their life direction.

Coaching & Personal Mentorship
For guests seeking deeper reflection, we offer one-on-one life coaching and mentoring sessions. These conversations support clarity, transition, and personal inquiry — whether you are navigating change, seeking direction, or simply listening more closely to yourself.
Homestay & Long-Stay Programs
Our homestay programs are designed for guests who wish to stay longer and live more closely with the rhythms of the house and village. Ideal for creatives, students, practitioners, and those in transition, these stays invite participation, presence, and connection rather than consumption.
Hugo et Léo — Artisan Bakery
Just a short walk from Nokishita Toshokan, Hugo et Léo is our small neighborhood bakery, where bread is made slowly, by hand, and in rhythm with the seasons. We bake with stone-ground spelt flour and natural fermentation, creating breads and pastries that are nourishing, digestible, and deeply comforting.
For our guests, Hugo et Léo is more than a bakery — it is a morning ritual, a place of warmth and conversation, and a simple reminder that care and attention can be tasted.
A Shared Thread
Across all that we offer, the intention is the same:
to create a safe, human-scaled space where people can slow down, reconnect, and move forward with greater awareness.
Whether you join us for a night, a retreat, or a longer chapter, Nokishita Toshokan invites you into a shared story — one shaped by gratitude, presence, and connection.
