5/6からパン屋再開!Re opening!

皆様のご支援のお陰で、6ヶ月ぶりに

再オープンすることになりました!

週1土曜日のみの営業となります。

Nishi-hour occupies a renovated closed-down primary school in the village where one can learn about Japanese wood culture.  The company is heralding a movement to educate the forestry industry and consumers to use the local woods and raise awareness about the mismanagement of the cedar and cypress plantations by the government.   Their main products ( chopsticks, cutlery, furniture, etc) are made using the waste woods from forest thinning.  As in the image, one can learn about traditional wooden architecture by studying the model framework of the Japanese house in the "gym" which will soon house a permanent wooden toy collection for children to play with by November 2014.

BREAD MAKING CLASSES: ARTISAN BREAD WEEKEND (for 2-6 people)

 

This class is perfect for anyone who wants to explore the world of artisan bread and learn to make mouth-watering home baked breads.

During the class, our focus will be on how to get the best flavour, texture, shape and rise from every bread we make. We’ll bake using traditional techniques without improvers or artificial additives to make breads which are both delicious and nutritious.

 

Here are some examples of bread you would be making:

 

- Fig and Walnut Wholemeal loaf

- French Wholemeal bread

- Cinnamon Raison bread

- Walnut Wholemeal bread

- Olive bread

 

This class is suitable for beginners. Two meals are included (1st day, dinner, 2nd day breakfast).  All ingredients and equipment are provided.  Just bring your hands and your enthusiasm.

 

The workshop starts at 15h00 on Saturday.  After a short tour of the house by Hiromi, participants will jump in immediately with a “quick-and-easy breads” session.  During the time the dough is rising, you will have a chance to relax in and around the house or go to our local onsen.  The organic vegetarian or vegan dinner will be one of the highlights of the weekend.  After breakfast on the 2nd day,  some of the breads produced

together will accompany you home.

フランスパン作りプラン

 

土曜日の午後到着後、本格的なフランスパン作りに挑戦して頂くプランですが、あくまでも肩の力を抜いての初心者向けのアクティビティーです。

 

有機栽培強力粉とスペルト小麦を使用し、伝統的で健康的なパン作りを大切にし、添加物は一切使用しません。

 

以下が作って頂けるパンの種類の例です。

いちじくとくるみの全粒粉のパン

全粒粉フランスパン

シナモンレーズンパン

くるみの全粒粉パン

オリーブパン

プランの流れですが、土曜日は3~4時にご到着お願いします。簡単な施設案内後、すぐパン作りに入ります。パン発酵中は、カフェ、図書館、屋外デッキ、または村内の温泉でごゆっくりして頂けます。ディナーは、オーガニックベジタリアン、またはビーガンメニューとなります。お土産にお作り頂いたパンを持ち帰って頂きます。

​今年は12/16(土)が最後の営業日となります。12/23から来年3月末までお休みを頂きます。4/14(土)からまたよろしくお願いします。
